Julián Quiñones netted his 17th goal of the season for Al-Qadsiah in a draw with leaders Al-Hilal. A 76th-minute header extended his scoring run to eight straight matches and briefly pushed him ahead of Cristiano Ronaldo in the Golden Boot race.
Goal.com highlights his prolific surge as one of the standout seasons for a Mexican striker overseas.
The forward rose to meet a Musab Al-Juwayr corner, beating goalkeeper Bono. The goal sparked celebrations for Al-Qadsiah.
The strike moved the Mexican international into second in the scoring chart. Only Ivan Toney, on 18 goals for Al-Ahli, sits above him.
His club form continues to raise questions over his role with the Mexican national team ahead of the 2026 World Cup. The Colombia-born forward has yet to fully convince head coach Javier Aguirre and faces competition from Santiago Giménez, Raúl Jiménez, Germán Berterame and Armando González.
