Jürgen Klopp has firmly rejected speculation linking him with a potential move to Real Madrid, responding with visible frustration to reports suggesting that the Spanish giants had already made contact with him. Speaking during a media round at a Magenta-sponsored event, Klopp dismissed the claims as baseless and clarified that he has not been approached by Real Madrid or any representatives connected to the club.
The German manager remains focused on his current role within the Red Bull football structure and has made it clear that he has no intention of stepping down in the near future.
The comments come amid growing speculation across European media regarding potential managerial changes at Real Madrid, where long-term planning and succession discussions have been widely debated in recent months.
Klopp did not hide his irritation when addressing the rumours, which had circulated widely across several outlets.
The former Liverpool manager emphasised that no contact had been made by Real Madrid officials, including club president Florentino Pérez, and suggested that speculation was being fueled by unreliable sources.
In his remarks, Klopp criticised the rapid spread of unverified information, pointing out how modern reporting and artificial intelligence-generated content can sometimes create misleading narratives.
He indicated that if Real Madrid had genuinely approached him, it would have been widely known through credible channels rather than speculation.
“That’s nonsense. Not once have they called. Did Real call me or Pérez and ask: Jürgen, do you fancy it? Or is it enough if xxx (he mentions an Austrian media outlet here) or some AI writes any rubbish? It’s annoying. If Real had called me, you would have heard about it. But they haven’t called. And what next – am I also taking over Atlético at the same time? Sorry, Madrid. They have to call me first BEFORE I can say anything.”

Beyond dismissing speculation about Madrid, Klopp also addressed questions about his own professional future. He made it clear that he is not planning to leave his current role within the Red Bull football organisation anytime soon.
On leaving RB, he said:
“I’m not planning to quit anytime soon.”
Since transitioning into his new position following his departure from Liverpool, Klopp has been involved in overseeing strategic football development across multiple clubs within the Red Bull network.
This role represents a different kind of challenge compared to day-to-day management.
Rather than focusing solely on match preparation and team selection, Klopp is now engaged in broader football operations, including talent development pathways, recruitment strategies, and long-term sporting identity.
