Atalanta coach Ivan Juric expects ‘a big test’ against Juventus this afternoon and sees a very different attacking approach from his opponents.

It kicks off at the Allianz Juventus Stadium in Turin at 17.00 UK time (16.00 GMT).

La Dea had a very tough start to life under Ivan Juric, drawing against Pisa and Parma, then losing 4-0 to Paris Saint-Germain in the Champions League.

There was some progress with back-to-back Serie A victories over Lecce and Torino, where they scored seven and conceded one.

Juric keeping open mind on Juventus line-up

“Juve are a great team, doing very well with many options to choose from, so it is a big test for us,” Juric told DAZN Italia.

“It will be difficult because Juventus have conceded a lot lately, but they press and can defend deep, they have some good passing channels, and we must try to play our game in the best possible way.”

Juventus pull some surprises, as Vasilije Adzic, Kenan Yildiz and Lois Openda start together for the first time in an unusual trident, so how does Juric think they’ll be set out?

“These are players who can exchange places, as Francisco Conceicao is more of a pure winger, whereas Yildiz and Adzic tend to cut inside. We’ll try to read what they do and be ready for all solutions.”

The injury list for Atalanta remains extensive, as Ederson and Charles De Ketelaere are back on the bench, with Giorgio Scalvini, Isak Hien, Nicola Zalewski, Gianluca Scamacca and Sead Kolasinac still out of action.
