Justin de Haas has given Valencia the green light on personal terms after talks since November. Any move is set for 1 July if Famalicão do not soften and no further departures are needed.

Record, A Bola and Tribuna Deportiva report that the agreement with the Famalicão left-sided centre-back, 25, who turns 26 in February, runs until 30 June 2030.

Valencia had moved ahead of rival suitors for the defender. Miguel Ribeiro rejected an offer recently sent by Ron Gourlay, and with Carlos Corberán seeking a right-sided centre-back to cover the injured Mouctar Diakhaby, Valencia have not increased their bid.

After last week’s opportunity with Unai Núñez, a renewed push before the window shuts for De Haas would likely require another exit, which appears unlikely. Famalicão are financially robust and firm in talks, so, barring surprises, he is expected at Valencia for 2026/27.

Ribeiro, president of the seventh-placed side in Liga Portugal and chasing Europe, will not lose the leader of his defence despite only five months left on the deal. He tried to renew De Haas, and last season kept Enea Mihaj in a similar position, who left in July to Atalanta United of MLS for free.

Lim’s financial constraints further reduce the chances of accelerating the transfer in the few days left this week. Valencia’s offer was a little over 1 million euros, while the price is understood to be at least 2 million.
