The Italian tactician had spent eight years at the Allianz Stadium and was appointed as the new Milan coach this summer.

Juventus fans booed the Milan squad when it was announced before kick-off, but jeers turned into applause when the stadium’s announcer named Allegri.

The Italian tactician hugged many of his ex-players in the tunnel before the teams entered the pitch, including Kenan Yildiz.

Allegri won five Serie A titles and five Coppa Italia titles across his two spells in Turin. He first coached Juventus from 2014 to 2019 and then again from 2021 to 2024.

Allegri also reached two Champions League Finals as the Bianconeri’s boss, losing to Leo Messi’s Barcelona in 2015 and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Real Madrid in 2017.

Just one point separates Juventus and Milan in the Serie A table as the Rossoneri have collected 12, while the Old Lady has 11.
