Damien Comolli only joined Juventus a few months ago, but after taking charge of their transfer strategy, he is on track to replace Maurizio Scanavino as their new CEO.

It was formally announced this evening that Scanavino would be leaving the club at the end of his term of office, which will be on November 7.

He had been appointed in January 2023 after the entire previous board of directors had resigned in the wake of the investigation into financial irregularities.

Although not formally announced yet, if there are no surprises on the horizon, then Comolli will be the one taking over from Scanavino in the role of CEO.

This means that while he will have the final word on any deals for Juventus, Comolli will no longer be holding those negotiations for the club on the transfer market.

The process of revitalising and transforming the board of directors in Turin continues, hoping to soon achieve the kind of stability that will allow them to get back to winning ways.

Notably, there is one big name missing from the nominees put forward by holding company Exor for the Juventus board of directors, namely Giorgio Chiellini.
