Corinthians will be without forward Kaio César for Sunday’s match against Flamengo at Neo Química Arena, with the player still sidelined by injury, according to Meu Timao.
Since joining, Kaio César has mixed bright moments with fitness issues. In his second outing he impressed, then felt pain and missed more than a month with a thigh problem.
He returned as a starter in the derby with Santos at Vila Belmiro, supplying an assist. Soon after he felt discomfort in the back of his right thigh and sat out the Chapecoense game.
In better news, Peruvian midfielder André Carrillo will be available after recent pain in his right adductor.
Kaio remains in the medical department alongside two team-mates, goalkeeper Felipe Longo, recovering from a sprain to the ligament in his right elbow, and left-back Hugo, who has a lateral meniscus injury in his right knee.
The number 37 arrived at the start of the year after a lengthy wait for his release from Al Hilal of Saudi Arabia. He has produced two assists in three appearances for Corinthians.
