Kane hits 50 Champions League goals as Bayern hammer Atalanta | OneFootball

Harry Kane became the first English player to score 50 goals in the Champions League as Bayern Munich crushed Atalanta 4-1 at the Allianz Arena, completing a staggering 10-2 aggregate win.

The England captain opened the scoring with a retaken penalty in the 25th minute, after Giorgio Scalvini handled the ball. Kane kept his cool, hammering the second attempt past Marco Sportiello.

Kane added a second from open play in the second half, a brilliant strike arrowing into the roof of the net to notch his landmark 50th European goal in 66 games.

Bayern’s dominance continued as 18-year-old Lennart Karl tapped in from Luis Díaz’s clever pass, and Díaz himself rounded off the scoring following a swift counterattack. Lazar Samardzic scored a late consolation for the Italians.

With the aggregate score already heavy after the 6-1 first-leg win in Bergamo, Bayern’s second-leg display was a statement of intent. They now face a mouth-watering quarter-final against Real Madrid.
