Kylian Mbappé denies Real Madrid medical staff examined wrong knee

Kylian Mbappé, back from a knee injury, dismissed claims that Real Madrid's medical staff examined the wrong knee.

Spanish and French media had alleged the club's doctors looked at his right knee while the injury was to his left, a mix-up said to have delayed assessment.

He insisted the claim was not true and suggested he might be indirectly responsible because he had not communicated, which left the door open to interpretations.

The pain emerged in December and he continued to play before taking proper time to recover in late February.

He spoke on Wednesday, the eve of France's friendly against Brazil at Gillette Stadium in Foxborough, Massachusetts.
