With just a few days remaining before the end of the month, the Barcelona board is working around the clock to ensure a few exits.

Securing departures before the end of the fiscal deadline is strategically important for Barça and one of the players who may leave soon is Pablo Torre.

The former Racing Club prodigy is currently in advanced talks with Mallorca over a summer switch that could help Barcelona trim their squad.

Arrasate has contacted Torre

A recent report from SPORT has offered an update on the future of Pablo Torre, confirming that the Mallorca manager has already contacted the player.

Indeed, Jagoba Arrasate has personally contacted Torre’s agent ahead of a potential move to Mallorca.

During the conversation, the Mallorca manager conveyed his full confidence in the player and his place in the first-team plans next season.

The report adds that Barcelona are expected to receive around €5 million through the sale of Pablo Torre. The deal, however, will include a buyback option and a 50% future sales clause.

This will be a key strategic placement from Barcelona so that the club can always bring back the young midfielder, should he make a big breakthrough in La Liga.

For now, a move to Mallorca makes a world of sense for Torre as he looks to find regular game time and showcase his talents at the highest level of football.

The Spaniard has no place in Hansi Flick’s plans next season, as the Barcelona midfield is already quite stacked, with no real departures expected.

In contrast, Barcelona are hoping to secure the contract extension of Frenkie de Jong, which could be announced before the end of the month.
