While Xabi Alonso has recently criticized LaLiga refereeing, Hansi Flick fired back with a response sure to sting Madridistas.

Last night, despite their 2-1 win over Alavés in LaLiga, Real Madrid lamented a missed penalty call on Vinicius Jr in the dying minutes. In Monday's press conference, FC Barcelona coach Hans-Dieter Flick took the opportunity to send a pointed message to Madrid.

"Referees are part of the game—without them, we can't play. That's just how it is. Sometimes we think they could have done better, and other times, we think they're fantastic. Everyone makes mistakes. Overall, they do a good job. As a coach, I make mistakes too. And so do the players. It's about improving.
