Lazio’s organised supporter groups have escalated their protest against president Claudio Lotito, releasing a detailed statement confirming they will boycott season tickets and all home matches in the 2026/27 season, with the exception of the two derbies against Roma.

The Curva Nord’s communiqué, via Alfredo Pedulla, marks a significant intensification of a dispute that dominated much of last season, with the ultras citing 22 years of what they describe as mismanagement, disrespect and broken promises under Lotito’s ownership.

Curva Nord outline sweeping protest measures as Lazio ultras’ relationship with Lotito reaches breaking point

The group’s statement is wide-ranging and withering. They will not purchase season tickets, will not attend home league or Coppa Italia fixtures, and will cancel subscriptions to broadcast platforms carrying Lazio matches.

They have also committed to attending all away fixtures and both derbies, while calling for a boycott of sponsors and commercial partners associated with the club’s current ownership.

On the sporting failures, the statement is blunt, pointing to two consecutive seasons without European football as proof of an ownership unwilling to invest adequately in the squad.

The ultras also criticise what they describe as the systematic removal of Lazio-affiliated staff from the club and the appointment of individuals with no connection to the club’s identity, including, in their words, a head of communications who is an openly declared Roma supporter.

The group also took aim at the proposed Stadio Flaminio project, questioning the financial logic of Lotito’s claims and warning that stadium construction would become an excuse to further delay investment in the playing squad.

New head coach Gennaro Gattuso received a notably warm mention, the ultras addressed him directly, welcoming his arrival and making clear their protest is directed solely at the ownership rather than the playing staff or coaching team.
