Maurizio Sarri’s squad has already been pared down to the bones ahead of Saturday’s contest against Cremonese, and the Lazio boss has been given two fresh concerns, as Alessio Romagnoli and Tijjani Noslin are enduring bouts of flu.

Lazio Without at Least Eight Players Against Cremonese

The Biancocelesti were already missing eight players for various reasons. Nicolo Rovella, Gustav Isaksen and Samuel Gigot are all injured. The latter is also out of the Serie A squad, and the same goes for Elseid Hysaj, who was recently dropped from the list.

Fisayo Dele-Bashiru and Boulaye Dia were called up for the African Cup of Nations, while Mattia Zaccagni and Toma Basic are suspended after receiving red cards against Parma. The captain is banned for one match, while the Croatian is out for two.

According to Il Messaggero, Sarri fears he could lose another two players, with Romagnoli and Noslin struggling with the flu. The Italian defender is expected to grit his teeth to reclaim a starting spot alongside Mario Gila, who has now returned from suspension, but Oliver Provstgaard will be on his toes, waiting to fill in for the former AC Milan captain if required.

Pedro to Start Against Cremonese?

Noslin should also earn a call-up against Cremonese. The Dutchman was considered the favorite to replace Zaccagni on the left wing, ahead of Pedro and Nuno Tavares. However, due to his far-from-ideal condition, he might have to settle for a spot on the bench. The Spanish veteran has now become the new favorite to join Taty Castellanos and Matteo Cancellieri in the attacking trident.
