Leeds United confirm RB Leipzig at Elland Road, first of two pre-season friendlies

Leeds United have confirmed the first of two Elland Road pre-season friendlies as stadium development continues, with RB Leipzig visiting on Saturday 8 August at 2pm.

According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the West Stand will be closed for both home fixtures and full ticket information will be released in due course.

Leipzig, who finished third in the 2025/26 Bundesliga to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, are a familiar name to Leeds fans after the legal battle that followed Jean-Kevin Augustin’s ill-fated move.

Leeds expect to confirm a second Elland Road friendly for the following weekend.

Their wider schedule includes Stateside games against Sunderland, Wrexham and Liverpool, before a late summer trip to Dublin to meet Manchester United.
