Leeds United could complete a quick double at Crystal Palace on Sunday as Sheffield-based referee Thomas Bramall is appointed to take charge.

Daniel Farke’s side resume their survival fight with a two pm kick-off at Selhurst Park, four months after a 4-1 win over the Eagles in the Elland Road reverse on 20 December.

Palace moved clear of the drop with last Thursday night’s 3-1 victory at Tottenham, which put them 10 points above third-bottom West Ham. Even so, the Eagles sit only two places above 15th-placed Leeds, who are seven points behind Glasner’s team.

Bramall also oversaw that December meeting and remains a relative newcomer for Leeds, with four matches to date yielding two wins, one draw and one defeat. The only loss came in October, a 2-1 home reverse against Tottenham.

He issued only four yellow cards in December’s victory, cautions for Marc Guehi, Maxence Lacroix, Adam Wharton and goalkeeper Lucas Perri.

Lee Betts and Mat Wilkes have been appointed as assistant referees, with Paul Tierney the fourth official. James Bell will run VAR, assisted by Craig Taylor.
