The Daily Mail reports that Leeds United have checked on South Korea forward Oh Hyeon-gyu as they consider alternatives to Jorgen Strand Larsen.
A complicated triangle has developed between Leeds, Crystal Palace and the 25-year-old. Palace were reported to have struck a deal on Thursday morning, then later news emerged of talks with Wolves breaking down. With Monday’s deadline closing in, Leeds want a Plan B.
Oh, 24, is with Belgian side Genk, having joined from Celtic in summer 2024.
His time in Glasgow brought only six starts across 18 months, though he scored 12 goals in 47 appearances.
He signed a four-year contract at Genk and hit 12 in 41 last season. So far this term he has 12 in 34, scoring in the Belgian League and Europa League, and at international level.
Up front, Leeds currently have Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Lukas Nmecha, who has picked up a knock, and the seldom-seen Joel Piroe.
