Leeds United are likely to stick close to their strongest XI at Bournemouth tonight as their survival push resumes, four days before a Wembley semi-final. This is how they could shape up.
According to yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, Daniel Farke has prioritised the league fixture over Sunday’s FA Cup semi-final against Chelsea, adding that Leeds probably still need more points to be safe.
The match was moved to this midweek slot after United reached the last four, having edged West Ham on penalties following extra time in an epic quarter-final. Kick-off is 8pm at the Vitality Stadium, with the semi-final to follow at Wembley on Sunday at 3pm.
Karl Darlow is expected to continue in goal after a strong run of form. Jayden Bogle remains clear first choice at right back. James Justin impressed against Wolves and, with no new injuries reported and late cramp considered the issue, should keep his place in defence.
Jaka Bijol has also performed well, while Joe Rodon is only just back from an ankle problem, creating a welcome selection dilemma. Pascal Struijk remains heavily relied upon at centre-back.
At left back, £10m summer signing Gabi Gudmundsson has nailed down the role. Winger Dan James is also back in contention after injury.
Leeds sit 15th, eight points above the drop with five games left.
