Leeds United were held to a goalless draw by Brentford, extending their barren run to four Premier League games without a goal. Anton Stach was the standout in an otherwise flat display.

There were few genuine openings despite territory and a stream of set pieces. Leeds Live notes that Ethan Ampadu and Lukas Nmecha registered efforts on target, but neither seriously tested the goalkeeper.

Karl Darlow had little to do, although his kicking lacked assurance. Joe Rodon defended solidly and marshalled Jaka Bijol, who was secure enough but exposed by pace and quiet from set pieces. Jayden Bogle nearly broke through after a fine touch, while James Justin was steady and Leeds missed Gudmundsson on the left.

Ampadu set the tempo and mixed results with his long throws. Brenden Aaronson improved after a slow start yet failed to influence the contest, dragging one effort wide. Stach won duels at both ends and looked like a Germany international.

Nmecha’s hybrid wide role left him on the periphery, and Dominic Calvert-Lewin held the ball well but lacked support. Pascal Struijk endured a ragged first half, was booked, then departed after a head blow.

Ao Tanaka helped sustain pressure after replacing Aaronson on 68 minutes, and Noah Okafor curved a shot that was saved. Daniel James added energy on 82 minutes without end product. Daniel Farke’s line-up felt reasonable, though changes might have come earlier, and the Nmecha wing experiment may not persist.
