Leeds United have reached an agreement to sign Wales international Harry Wilson following the expiry of his contract at Fulham.
The 29-year-old is set to join Daniel Farke’s side on a free transfer after completing the final stages of negotiations over a long-term deal.
Wilson is expected to undergo a medical shortly before the move is formally announced.
The agreement brings an end to Leeds’ long pursuit of the attacker after the club failed to secure his signature last summer.
Leeds pushed hard to sign Wilson on transfer deadline day in 2025, but the proposed move collapsed before the paperwork could be completed.
Almost a year later, the Yorkshire club have finally succeeded in landing one of their long-standing targets.
Wilson arrives following the most productive Premier League season of his career.
The Welsh international featured in 36 league matches for Fulham last season, scoring 10 goals and providing seven assists.
His performances played an important role in Fulham’s campaign and prompted former manager Marco Silva to publicly express his desire to keep the winger at Craven Cottage.
However, with Wilson’s contract expiring this summer, Leeds moved quickly to secure an agreement.
The move is another statement of intent from a club determined to strengthen its squad ahead of the new season.
Wilson brings significant Premier League experience as well as proven quality in the final third.
He is capable of operating across several attacking positions but is most effective cutting inside from the right flank onto his stronger left foot.
Leeds have been looking to add creativity and goals to their attack, and Wilson fits that profile perfectly.
The former Liverpool academy graduate spent 16 years on Merseyside before leaving permanently in 2022.
Although first-team opportunities at Liverpool were limited, he enjoyed successful loan spells across England and Europe before establishing himself at Fulham.
Wilson has also become a key figure for Wales on the international stage.
He has won 69 caps for his country and scored 17 goals, featuring prominently in several major tournaments.
Leeds believe they are acquiring a player who remains in his prime despite approaching his 30th birthday.
While the deal offers little resale value compared to younger signings, the club view Wilson as an experienced addition capable of making an immediate impact.
With no transfer fee involved, Leeds have secured one of the summer’s most attractive free agents.
The club will now hope Wilson can carry his excellent form from Fulham to Elland Road as preparations for the new campaign continue.
