Leeds United will face Chelsea in the FA Cup semi-finals after winning a penalty shootout at West Ham. It is their first appearance at this stage since 1987.

Leeds led 2-0 in normal time, but West Ham struck twice in added time to make it 2-2 and force extra time. The tie went to penalties, and Pascal Struijk converted the decisive kick. As reported by yorkshireeveningpost.co.uk, the draw was held 15 minutes after full time.

Chelsea were drawn first, followed by Leeds, setting up a meeting of historic rivals for a place in the final over the last weekend of the month. The draw also featured Manchester City and Championship side Southampton, who knocked out Arsenal on Saturday night.

Manchester City, now strong favourites after Arsenal’s exit, will face Southampton in the other semi-final.

Both semi-finals will be played at Wembley on Saturday, April 25 and Saturday, April 26. Leeds’ planned Premier League trip to Bournemouth at 3pm on the Saturday will move to the previous midweek.
