The 35-year-old striker has been spotted in training with Leicester City
Former West Ham United forward Michail Antonio is training with Leicester City, as the Foxes weigh up whether or not to offer the Jamaica international a contract.
The Foxes have experienced a mixed 2025/26 campaign thus far, as they currently sit 13th in the Championship standings after 20 matches.
Marti Cifuentes’ side have improved their form in recent times, winning three and drawing one of their last six matches. Whilst this isn’t anything to write home about, it’s much better than the barren run they went on before that.
Before beating Norwich City 2-1 in early November, the Foxes had only tasted victory on a single occasion since late August, which saw their promotion hopes begin to fade away and subsequent pressure started to pile on Cifuentes.
A recent upturn in results has cooled any sack talks for now, and it appears that Leicester may already be looking to snap up some new talent to help push further up the table.

A number of ex-Premier League operators have been signed as free agents by Championship clubs this season, such as Danny Ings and Nathan Redmond.
It appears now that Leicester may be considering a similar sort of move, with it revealed that they have a former top-flight forward currently training with them.
According to The Telegraph reporter John Percy via X, Michail Antonio is training with the Foxes as a free agent.
Percy states that the 35-year-old was at Leicester’s training ground on Thursday for talks, but nothing has been decided yet concerning a permanent deal.
Antonio has been out of action since crashing his car last December, which caused him to badly break his leg, shattering his femur bone in four places.
This injury required surgery and a three-week stay in hospital, with the former West Ham man not playing club football again since the accident.
The striker spent a decade with the East London outfit, scoring 83 times in 323 appearances, with 68 of those goals coming in the Premier League. He has previous EFL Championship experience, with the likes of Nottingham Forest, Sheffield Wednesday and Reading.

Leicester City have been limited in their transfer business recently due to their lack of funds, and that looks likely to continue into January.
This means that any free agent deals would be examples of clever business, as it wouldn’t cost the Foxes anything upfront.
Antonio has extensive top-flight experience and would bring a wise head into the King Power Stadium’s home dressing room.
Leicester have scored 27 goals in 20 matches, which places them in the middle of the division’s goalscoring rankings. Having somebody with the 35-year-old’s expertise should only be a positive thing for Cifuentes’ side and could provide them with an extra edge in the second period of the season.
