Leicester City are set to complete the signing of Bosnian youth international striker Admir Bristric.

Leicester City are set to continue their busy transfer window under new boss Russell Martin, as they look to build a side which can fire them straight back into the Championship.

From the highs of winning the Premier League and FA Cup in the last decade, to the lows of a points deduction, financial turmoil, and relegation to the third tier, it's certainly been a rollercoaster of emotions for Leicester fans.

The Foxes suffered back-to-back relegations, which will see them compete in League One for just the second time in the club's history.

New manager Martin has a huge rebuilding job on his hands, but has done well so far by selling some of the club's highest earners, and also adding some quality signings such as Conor Chaplin, Liam Cullen, and Tommy Watson.

After an already strong transfer window, it seems Leicester are far from done with their summer business, as a fresh report has suggested the Foxes are looking to add some more firepower to their forward ranks.

Despite their financial struggles over the last few years which ultimately sealed their fate in the Championship last season, Leicester still have some cash to splash left in their transfer budget.

So far, loans and free transfers have been the majority focus of the club's business, with some big sales such as Abdul Fatawu and Jeremy Monga also freeing up funds to sign players.

Now, according to a report by Planet Nogomet, a Slovenian outlet, the Foxes are in on a new striker to lead the line for them in League One, and that man is Olimpija Ljubljana's Admir Bristric.

The Bosnian striker has played for the Prva Liga side since 2023, but has spent much of that time out on loan, with stints at clubs such as Ukrainian outfit Polissya Zhytomyr and fellow Slovenia top flight side Bravo.

However, it seems Bristric's time at Olimpija Ljubljana is set to come to a close, with a move to the King Power Stadium reportedly 'very close'.

Planet Nogomet also revealed that the striker has travelled to England, and will complete a medical with the Foxes, before signing for his new club in a deal worth between €1.7m and €2m, having scored 10 league goals for Bravo last season, who are a divisional rival of Olimpija.

It's fair to say that Bristric's name isn't one well known in England, given he's spent his entire career thus far playing in Eastern and Central Europe.

His time in both Slovenia and Ukraine has yielded mixed results, having begun his professional career in Croatia with Rijeka, and spending time on loan with Hrvastki Dragovoljac, where he scored once in 14 HNL outings.

Bristric then joined current club Olimpija Ljubljana in January 2023, where he scored just six goals in 52 outings across all competitions during his first season at the club, before he was sent out on loan to Polissya Zhytomyr in 2024.

This temporary move to the Ukrainian side didn't have the success either party would've hoped either, as he failed to score in 17 appearances for the club, only finding the net thrice in his three appearances for their second team.

The Bosnian was sent out on loan again for the 2025/26 season, joining Ljubljana's fellow Prva Liga side Bravo, where he would flourish and start finding the back of the net on a consistent basis.

Bristric scored 15 goals in 30 matches across all competitions for Bravo, 10 of which came in the league, which saw him return to Ljubljana and feature in their opening two games of the 2026/27 season, where he failed to score.

There's still plenty of room for the 23-year-old to grow, but he will certainly have a tall order on his hands to be the man to fire Leicester back into the Championship.
