Leicester City left their business late again, completing four signings in the final hours of the January window. According to LeicesterMercury.co.uk, three of those were confirmed on Tuesday after the deadline.

It mirrored the summer, when City made three outfield additions on the final day. No players arrived in the first 32 days of this window.

More players departed than arrived overall, although at senior level it finished four in and three out. The exits comprised a cancelled loan, a temporary switch, and a permanent sale.

Several youngsters headed out on loan for senior experience following earlier spells elsewhere. There was also a permanent deadline-day departure at right-back.

As ever, attention will also settle on what was not done. Supporters wanted left-back competition for Luke Thomas, and the lack of a prolific goal-getter remains a concern.

Ins: Joe Aribo on loan to the end of the season from Southampton, Jamaal Lascelles for an undisclosed fee from Newcastle, Divine Mukasa on loan from Manchester City, and Dujuan Richards on loan from Chelsea. Outs: Sammy Braybrooke to Chesterfield on loan to the end of the season, Julian Carranza’s loan cancelled with a return to Feyenoord before a sale to Necaxa, Wout Faes on loan to Monaco to the end of the season, Chris Popov to Morecambe on loan to the end of the season, Jake Evans to Northampton on loan to the end of the season, Boubakary Soumare to Al-Duhail for an undisclosed fee, and Brandon Cover to Rotherham for an undisclosed fee.
