RB Leipzig will bid farewell to Brajan Gruda on Saturday, and it seems highly unlikely the Brighton loanee will be signed permanently unless a lot of summer revenue is raised.

His loan is expiring and there is no purchase option agreed. He will, for now, return to Brighton & Hove Albion. According to Sky Germany, both sides hold each other in high regard, but another straight loan is not an option for Brighton.

Any further loan would only happen under specific conditions, such as a mandatory purchase. A permanent transfer is not currently budgeted by Leipzig, and a high fee for his position is not a priority.

That stance could change quickly if the attacking department shifts and income is generated.

Leipzig would not have sought Gruda had Assan Ouédraogo not suffered a long-term injury this season.
