Polish striker Robert Lewandowski finished in 17th place in the final Ballon d’Or 2025 rankings announced Monday night in Paris.

Disappointing Position

The Barcelona forward, long considered 1 of europe’s most lethal strikers, fell well short of the top 10 despite another strong individual campaign in Spain.

Past Recognition

Lewandowski who previously finished as high as 2nd and 3rd in Ballon d’Or voting remains without the prestigious crown.

Many still argue he was denied in 2020 when the award was cancelled despite his treble winning year at Bayern Munich.

Barcelona’s Mixed Night

While Lewandowski dropped to 17th, teammate Lamine Yamal emerged as the main headline tipped to claim both the Ballon d'Or & Kopa Trophy.
