‘Like my brother’ – Dortmund boss Sahin reveals he speaks to Real Madrid star ‘every day’ | OneFootball

Borussia Dortmund head coach Nuri Sahin has on Monday provided an insight into the close nature of his relationship with Real Madrid starlet Arda Güler.

Sahin’s Dortmund are of course currently in the midst of final preparations for a continental showdown with Real, on Tuesday.

Late this evening, the tactician, in turn, took his place in front of the media, for his pre-match press conference.

And it did not take long for the name of the aforementioned Arda Güler to take its place front and centre in things.

Sahin and Güler of course share a nationality, with the former having racked up a half-century of appearances for a Turkey with whom Güler is now considered the present and future alike.

Nevertheless, though, it may come as a surprise to hear of just how close a bond the pair share.

Speaking on Monday, in quotes gathered by Marca, Sahin went as far as to label Güler ‘like a little brother,’ in explaining:

“I hope he wins many titles with Madrid and with Turkey. Fighting for minutes is for Arda and for everyone at Madrid. He is doing well, he scores decisive goals. I speak with Arda Güler every day, he is like my little brother. I hope his future is very good.”
