Liverpool and Arsenal to battle in the race to sign Hugo Ekitiké | OneFootball

According to BILD journalist Christian Falk, Liverpool and Arsenal are both interested in signing Hugo Ekitiké (22) from Eintracht Frankfurt in the summer transfer window. The Premier League club are eager to sign a striker in the summer, and the former PSG forward has been earmarked as a priority target.

Ekitiké has had an impressive season in the Bundesliga. The 22-year-old has scored 15 goals for Frankfurt this season in 31 league appearances. With Omar Marmoush departing for Manchester City, the Frenchman has also had to adapt to leading the line single-handedly and has adapted to this transition well.

Frankfurt are on course to qualify for the UEFA Champions League this season and will receive a financial boost. As a result, the club do not need to sell and are set to demand a hefty fee for Ekitiké. The Bundesliga club will only consider bids in the region of €100m for the former France youth international.
