Liverpool have a golden opportunity to sign the next Sadio Mane.

The Senegalese international was probably one of the best players to have ever played for the club. At this peak, Mane was the epitome of Jurgen Klopp's greatest era at the club.

When he was running at defences, you just had confidence that Liverpool were going to be able to win games consistently.

Mane was a special player. Someone who was selfless and who worked hard for the team but who was also capable of individual brilliance.

Most importantly, he was a top professional. This was apparent in the African Cup of Nations final on Sunday night with Mane staying on the pitch during Senegal's boycott after a dubious penalty was awarded against them.

Ultimately, Mane convinced his players to continue the game and played a key role in creating Senegal's winner to crown himself a champion for the second time in the tournament's history.

It's a remarkable time for Senegal right now. Mane is just the leading face of a golden generation and there is so much more to come.

One of the biggest factors behind Senegal's rise to prominence has been the Generation Foot academy. This is the academy that produced Mane and which has a partnership with FC Metz.

Alongside Mane, they have also developed players like Ismaila Sarr, Pape Matar Sarr, Lamine Camara and many others.

They are the leading academy in Senegal and they always have exciting gems worth keeping an eye on who are ready to follow in Mane's footsteps.

We know Liverpool like to scout in Senegal. They've just signed Mor Talla Ndiaye from a Senegalese club and are expected to sign Sidy Barhama Ndiaye from another Senegalese side.

But they should now direct their attention to Generation Foot, where there is a really exciting young player who might just be the next Mane.

Let us introduce you to Sega Fall Mbodji. He's only 16-years-old but he's already a regular member of Generation Foot's first-team, who play in Senegal's top tier.

Mbodji became the youngest ever goal-scorer in the club's history at 15-years-old earlier this season, and he's also the fourth youngest to make an appearance for the club.

An exciting winger with great technical skills, he can play on either wing and he is a brilliant dribbler.

What stands-out about him is his decision making and his intelligent movement, Mbodji always receives the ball facing forward and ready to attack his opponent.

He makes clever runs behind the defensive lines and has the composure to finish chances.

Making history at such an impressive club and breaking records at his age is worth taking notice.

Right now he's not made his mark at international level yet so this is a golden chance for Liverpool to strike and agree a deal for him to join the Reds, before the other big clubs start to sniff around for him.
