Liverpool seem to be gearing up for a massive overhaul of their first-team squad this summer.
Things haven't gone to plan for Arne Slot and his men since the first five games of the Premier League campaign and, now that we're getting to the latter end of the season, the groundwork for changes is finally being put in place.
The rumour mill is going into overdrive and, if Liverpool don't manage to fix their problems before the start of next season, they could end up even worse off than they currently find themselves.
And, by the Reds' standards, that would be miles off the pace so, it's not hard to understand why many different transfer options are already being explored by Richard Hughes and Slot.
However, before any moves are even made, Liverpool will have to sell some of their first-team squad to raise enough funds.
But, for one player, exiting Anfield isn't on the agenda.
Jeremie Frimpong is one of the many players that Liverpool signed in the summer to bolster their ranks.
The Dutchman was expected to come in and be the Reds' replacement for Trent Alexander-Arnold.
And, while he may have had a similar level of creativity with Bayer Leverkusen, those numbers haven't replicated themselves with Liverpool.
Whether that's because of the number of injury issues he's faced or the fact that he hasn't had a regular role in Slot's XI remains to be seen.
But, despite this lack of form, the Dutchman has now confirmed that he'll be playing for Liverpool next year rather than moving on.
"Of course [I want to stay]," he said to The Telegraph. "I don’t want to be anywhere else other than Liverpool.
"Look, we’re going through a bad time now. I’ve had injuries, the team has had results that we didn’t want. But I wouldn’t change anything.
"Not a single thing. It’s all part of the journey."
Even though Frimpong is staying put, that doesn't mean Liverpool don't need to reinforce their ranks.
is leaving and with the unreliability of Joe Gomez and Conor Bradley, the Reds are still a full-back or two short.
Several defenders have already been linked with a potential transfer but at the moment, it's unclear whether any of those moves will come to fruition.
And, with so many other areas of their squad also needing upgrades, it's going to be hard for Slot and Hughes to figure out their list of priorities.
