Mohamed Salah has been recalled to the Liverpool squad by Arne Slot for Saturday’s Premier League clash with Brighton.

The forward took aim at his employers and manager, revealing that he felt that he had been “thrown under the bus” by his club, and that he had “no relationship” with head coach Arne Slot.

Salah, 33, was believed to have held talks with Slot on Friday ahead of Liverpool’s Saturday fixture against Brighton, although reports claim that issues remain unresolved, with the club and Salah’s agent Ramy Abbas to tackle those when the Egyptian jets of to the Africa Cup of Nations.

it was feared by many Liverpool fans that Salah may have played his final game for the club in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland a couple of weeks ago, coming on as a half-time substitute.

That was the second time in two games that he had been dropped to the bench by Slot, and he was an unused substitute in the 2-0 win at West Ham.

Salah was prompted to vent his frustrations having not come on at all in the Reds’ collapse at Elland Road last weekend.

Now, however, it seems that the air has - at least temporarily - been cleared, with reports claiming that Slot has acted in the ‘best interests of the club’ by reintegrating his talisman back into the fold.
