The Toon teenagers fell behind at the Kirkby Academy following Finn Inglethorpe's close-range finish before the half-hour mark but responded in swift fashion following Matthew Taylor's leveller.

Fifteen-year-old Alfie Seldon scored his first goal at under-18 level within the opening 60 seconds of the restart before Kacey Wooster, who joined the Magpies from Southend United in the summer of 2023, doubled the visitors' lead in the 54th minute.

Newcastle's youngsters, however, found themselves on level terms following strikes from Joseph Bradshaw and Scofield Lonmeni before Wooster secured maximum points in the dying stages with his third goal in his opening three league matches at under-18 level.

Chris Moore's side will be aiming to continue their unbeaten start in the Under-18 Premier League North when hosting their Stoke City counterparts at the Magpies' Little Benton Academy on Saturday, 27th September (kick-off 11am BST).
