Lucas Evangelistas Palmeiras contract has been extended to the end of 2027 after he met targets that triggered an automatic renewal. According to Globo.com, his previous deal ran until the end of 2026.
The midfielder became a pillar of the side last year, then suffered a serious knee injury that ruled him out of much of the run-in. Even so, he still met the required benchmarks.
He is in the final phase of his physical transition, with the club and people close to him expecting a return before March.
Following the arrival of Marlon Freitas, he faces added competition for the role of second midfielder.
Signed last year for €4 million, R$ 24 million at the time, Lucas Evangelista made 33 appearances, scored two goals and provided three assists.
