Lyon to sign Lens’ Martin Satriano on loan | OneFootball

Lyon have reached an agreement to sign Martin Satriano (24) on loan from Ligue 1 rivals RC Lens, as per L’Equipe. The 24-year-old is set to undergo a medical with Les Gones this Sunday. Lyon were in dire need of attacking reinforcements, as Georges Mikautadze has left Paulo Fonseca’s squad to complete a €30m switch to Villarreal. Satriano is not expected to be the only striker to join Lyon before Monday’s deadline as the search for Mikautadze’s successor carries on.

Satriano joined Lens from Inter on loan with an option to buy last summer, but the Uruguayan sustained a season-ending ACL injury early into the season. He only featured seven times for the Artois side. L’Equipe understands that Satriano’s loan move to Lyon includes a €5m buy option. Satriano was not part of Pierre Sage’s plans for the campaign. Lyon host Marseille this Sunday for a mouth-watering Choc des Olympiques.
