There is a small chance that Leicester City will be able to hang on to supposedly their 'most profitable asset' over the summer. Many experts and fans alike expect No.1 Foxes goalkeeper Mads Hermansen to receive a top transfer during the offseason. One of the main questions on the Blue Army's collective minds is whether or not the Dane will still be at King Power Stadium next season.
Apparently, a small chance exists that he will remain on Filbert Way. And we believe that possibility has just speculatively increased. That's if we can trust the latest media rumours and expectations. Allow me to present the possibly hopeful case for Hermansen staying with the east Midlands outfit for 2025/26.
Hermansen was meant to be Leicester's most admired star when considering other clubs' transfer wishlists. Until recently that is. Right now, I'd suggest that Bilal El Khannouss is probably City's most valuable player. Neither have been great of late, but the eye-catching pair have certainly still proven in 2024/25 that they are respectively of EPL standard overall.
And Hermansen's obvious dip in form since returning from injury might ironically help LCFC keep him in the long run. Even if the 24-year-old had managed to pull off a few miraculous stops, Leicester would likely have the same amount of points. And the first Cole Palmer penalty save almost supplied the team that necessary injection of belief.
Nevertheless, forecasts don't seem as conclusive regarding Hermansen's future as was previous. Journalists are now pondering if he'll stay at LCFC. He is still a fairly youthful stopper. And, most notably, Chelsea are said to be out of the running for a new 'keeper for the next campaign.
