According to L'Équipe, Malo Gusto, Michaël Cuisance and Armand Laurienté headline the French abroad weekend XI after decisive displays for Chelsea, Hertha Berlin and Sassuolo.

Hugo Ekitike scored after 47 seconds and added a header as Liverpool beat Brighton 2-0, later saying he had aimed for a hat-trick. Jérémy Le Douaron sealed Palermo's 1-0 win at Sampdoria with a solo run and low right-foot finish, his second in succession.
