Manchester City are awaiting a decision on Jeremy Doku’s fitness for Saturday’s Premier League trip to Leeds United.
According to Leeds Live, the winger has not featured throughout February after sustaining a calf injury against Galatasaray last month. He has 11 assists and three goals this season.
Doku completed the full 90 minutes in November’s 3-2 win over Leeds. In that match, Josko Gvardiol struck after 25 minutes to make it 2-0, then later conceded a second-half penalty when Dominic Calvert-Lewin outwitted him, with Lukas Nmecha scoring on the rebound to equalise.
Gvardiol will miss this weekend’s reverse fixture after a broken tibia in early January. He is not expected back until April.
Mateo Kovacic has endured two significant setbacks, limiting him to just 37 minutes this season and none since October. Having missed the first five weeks following Achilles and ankle surgery, he required a second round and has been sidelined since. He could miss the rest of the season.
Leeds will certainly be without Noah Okafor after a hamstring injury sustained against Birmingham City in the FA Cup earlier this month, which could also keep him out of further games.
Gabriel Gudmundsson is a minor doubt after feeling unwell and being withdrawn at half-time against Aston Villa. Daniel Farke is due to provide an update at Thursday’s press conference.
