Manchester United insist they want a total package of around £50m for Chelsea target Alejandro Garnacho according to reports.

The Blues have been busy this summer and have made three attacking signings in Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Liam Delap, whilst they’ve also signed left back Jorrel Hato.

Chelsea aren’t done there and the Blues are looking to close deals for both Garnacho and Xavi Simons before the end of the window.

Manchester United insist on around £50m for Garnacho

Chelsea are said to want eight or nine attacking options to rotate between in their squad next season as they return to the Champions League.

Garnacho is a player they like, and the Blues were first linked with the 21-year-old back in January, and those links have continued through the summer.

Chelsea are believed to have already agreed personal terms with Garnacho, and the Argentine has made it clear he only wants to move to Stamford Bridge this summer.

Garnacho reportedly rejected an approach from Bayern Munich, and it’s believed his move to Chelsea is very advanced behind the scenes.

All that needs to be agreed is a fee, but Chelsea are said to value Garnacho at £30m, however Mail Sport have reported United are insisting of a total of around £50m.

The report adds United feel Garnacho’s stats compare well to Jamie Gittens who cost the Blues an initial £48.5m, and are significantly better than Omari Hutchinson’s who joined Nottingham Forest for £37.5m.

Nkunku and Jackson to leave

Before Chelsea can sign either Simons or Garnacho they need to move on both Nicolas Jackson and Christopher Nkunku to create space in the squad.

Aston Villa are set to push hard to sign Jackson, who is also attracting interest from Italian clubs AC Milan and Juventus.

Nkunku was thought to be close to joining Bayern Munich, but that now seems unlikely with the German giants only wanting a loan deal, whilst Chelsea insist on a permanent transfer.

The 27-year-old could return to former club RB Leipzig, whilst there’s also thought to be interest from Inter Milan.
