In a recent report, journalist Mark Brus revealed that Manchester City are in talks to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi. It has been mentioned that the Mancunian giants would have to compete with Liverpool in the race to land the French striker this summer.

Kroupi’s Impressive Form In The Premier League

The 19-year-old has enjoyed a good run of form at the English club in this campaign as he has put in a string of impressive performances for them in the Premier League. Kroupi has banged in 11 goals in 31 matches for Bournemouth this season across all fronts.

The French talent is currently one of the best young forwards in the Premier League. Therefore, it is no wonder that Man City are in the running to secure his services this summer.

His current contract at the English club will run out in the summer of 2030, which could make it tough for the Mancunian club to sign him on the cheap this off-season.

Should Manchester City Boss Pep Guardiola Move In For Kroupi?

Kroupi is a good dribbler with the ball at his feet and has got the vision to engineer some inviting chances for others around him in the final third. He can shoot the ball with power from long range and can chip in by scoring his fair share of goals up top.

The French whizkid is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a left-sided wide player or play in the number ten position if asked to do so. He is already quite familiar with the Premier League and won’t take much time to adjust to life at the Mancunian club.

We can expect Kroupi to add more quality and depth to Man City boss Pep Guardiola’s attack. He has what it takes to serve as an ideal back up to Erling Haaland at the Premier League club.

At 19, Kroupi has got the potential to be a future star in English football as long as he continues to improve with each season. Therefore, it makes sense for Guardiola to move in for him in the upcoming transfer window as he can get him for a reasonable fee.
