One of Europe’s best young strikers has opted to commit his long-term future in the game to Manchester City, according to new reports from France.
It is the latest in a long list of additions made by Manchester City during the ongoing summer as the club looks to prepare itself for both the immediate term and first-team ambitions, as well as future years.
Since the January transfer window, there have been a total of eight first-team additions made under Hugo Viana and Txiki Begiristain, as well as a host of younger talents brought into the club to be developed either at the City Football Academy or away on loan.
Among the names to be completed and brought into the club in the coming weeks is Sheffield Wednesday’s highly-rated teenager talent, Caelan-Kole Cadamarteri with the 15-year-old close to finalising a move worth around £1.5 million.
And the young forward is expected to now be followed by one of European football’s brightest strikers as Paris Saint-Germain suffer a blow to their own future by losing a key name to Manchester City.
That is according to the information of RMC Sport’s Fabrice Hawkins, who reports that PSG’s Mahamadou Sangaré has now decided to sign his first professional contract with City running for five years and has successfully passed a medical with the Etihad Stadium club.
The report details that the 18-year-old centre-forward will officially join his new team from July 1st.
Sangare established himself as one of the hottest names throughout competitions last campaign having endured one of his most prolific seasons to date within the club’s youth teams, scoring 42 times in 46 games for PSG’s Under-19s.
In midfield, there is also expected to be a further addition completed as Manchester City fend off competition from Premier League rivals Arsenal and Aston Villa to secure the signing of Norwegian midfielder Sverre Nypan.
There is a belief that the 18-year-old will head out on loan during the upcoming campaign after penning a long-term deal at the Etihad Stadium, although it is understood that City Football Group side Girona will not be his temporary destination.
