Manchester United are among the Premier League clubs monitoring Marcos Llorente’s situation at Atletico Madrid.

Llorente will enter the final 12 months of his deal with the La Liga side this summer with no agreement reached on an extension.

Manchester United are keeping a close eye on the situation, ahead of a potential market opportunity in the summer.

The Red Devils have a long list of midfield targets as part of plans for an overhaul in the engine room.

Llorente has been a consistent performer for several seasons at Atletico, with the 31-year-old’s experience and versatility increasing his appeal. With Casemiro due to depart Old Trafford when his contract expires in the summer, the addition of Llorente could add a senior figure to complement the club’s youthful core.

Fabrizio Romano has reported that, alongside United, a number of other English teams are watching the situation, but that Llorente’s preference is to sign a new deal at Atletico.

“Not only (Manchester) United, some Premier League clubs want to be informed about the situation of Llorente who will be out of contract in 2027, but keen to stay at Atlético,” Romano said via YouTube.
