Erik ten Hag has continued the tradition of handing promising academy graduates from the famed Manchester United academy their chances to shine in the first team.

And under the Dutchman, Alejandro Garnacho and Kobbie Mainoo have become established members of the first team with more on the way.

Toby Collyer looks like he could be the next to breakthrough while coaches at the club feel they have a young striker with the potential to shine for the senior team in the months to come.

Gabriele Biancheri has started the new campaign in sizzling form, netting twice in as many games for the U18s as well as scoring on his solitary appearance for the U21 team, scoring with his first touch at Blackburn Rovers.

Biancheri in red-hot form

New technical director Jason Wilcox is keeping a close watch on the 17-year-old and was on hand to witness Biancheri scoring a brace in the final U18 league game of last season.

As per The Daily Mail, coaches and scouts at the club feel it is just a matter of time before the Wales U19 international makes his mark for the senior team.

Young kids being called up to train with the first team has been a regular feature at the club and Biancheri has been a benefactor, just like Ethan Wheatley, who made his first team debut last season.

“There is always plenty of excitement at Carrington about the stars of the future, but the name on everyone’s lips right now is a certain Gabriele Biancheri.

“The attacker, who turns 18 in the next fortnight, has started the season in electric form as he looks to follow in the footsteps of Ethan Wheatley, who broke through into Erik ten Hag’s first team last season.

Coaches impressed with Biancheri

“Jason Wilcox is among those to have kept a close eye on Biancheri. It’s early in the season but Biancheri has coaches and scouts salivating at his potential.”

Last season, the Welsh star netted 14 times in all competitions but looks to have taken his game to a different level at the start of the current campaign.

With goals not coming easily for Ten Hag’s side, there is room for breakthrough star with Rasmus Hojlund currently out injured while Joshua Zirkzee remains new to the league.

If Biancheri can keep his performance levels up, there is no reason why he cannot make his first team debut this season.
