Evra tears into Neville and Manchester United's old guard!

Manchester United: Patrice Evra lets loose!
The criticism aimed at Michael Carrick isn't sitting well with Patrice Evra. The former Manchester United defender has stepped up to defend the current interim manager of the Red Devils, arguing that some of the analysis offered by ex-players at the club lacks both support and perspective.
"I don't understand the lack of support for Michael Carrick, he's one of our own and he's doing a great job. Scholesy has made negative comments, but so have Roy Keane and Gary Neville," said the former French international.
Frustrated by this atmosphere, Evra also slammed pundits for their tendency to prioritize harsh criticism.
"It annoys me because we want to be in the top four and these comments are pointless, but that's what happens when you work on TV. You can't be positive, you have to be negative."
The former left-back didn't stop there, taking direct aim at some of his old teammates.
"Most of these guys get a manager's job and get sacked straight away. I told Neville: 'It's easy to talk on TV. When you were at Valencia, they asked you for paella and you gave them fish and chips.' After three months, they said goodbye. People don't forget what they did as managers. As players, they're legends, but as managers, they haven't done a great job."
Since taking charge, Carrick has posted a strong record of six wins, one draw, and just a single defeat.
