Barcelona have been caught off guard as Manchester United have made a jaw-dropping €150 million bid for Raphinha, according to a fresh report from Fichajes.
The Brazilian winger, who played a crucial role in Barcelona’s success in the 2024/25 season under Hansi Flick, is now the centre of serious interest from Old Trafford.
Raphinha’s impact has been hard to ignore. The 28-year-old notched up an incredible 34 goals and 25 assists in just 57 appearances across all competitions, helping the team lift three major trophies.
His performances have placed him among the most valuable assets in the squad, and Barça had no plans to part ways with him. However, the sheer scale of United’s offer has taken even the Camp Nou board by surprise.
Manchester United are looking to make a strong statement in the market as they begin a new chapter under Ruben Amorim.

They view Raphinha, who recently extended his contract with Barcelona, as the ideal piece to lead their attacking rebuild. With experience in the Premier League already under his belt thanks to his time at Leeds United, the Brazilian wouldn’t need much time to adapt.
Despite the player’s importance to Flick’s project, the financial realities at Barcelona make this a difficult situation.
The club is under pressure to balance the books, and a windfall of €150 million could bring much-needed breathing room. It remains unclear where Raphinha stands, though.
At 28, he is in the peak years of his career and will need to weigh up his loyalty to Barça with the challenge and pay rise that United can offer.
As things stand, Barcelona are not rushing a decision. But if United keep pushing, the coming weeks could see one of the summer’s biggest transfer sagas unfold.
