Based on a report from Il Messaggero, the key detail concerning the potential transfer of Joshua Zirkzee to Roma is the financial demand set by Manchester United.
Manchester United are willing to sanction a loan deal for Zirkzee in the January transfer window, but only on the condition that the agreement includes a substantial buy-out option (or right to buy) set at €25 million.
Roma are keen on bringing the Dutch striker back to Serie A on a loan basis, but they are currently negotiating the financial structure, with the €25 million figure representing a firm demand from the English club for the final purchase price.
The Giallorossi face competition for Zirkzee’s signature, particularly from Premier League club West Ham United, but Roma remain unconcerned by this interest as Zirkzee is determined to secure a return to Serie A, having impressed at Bologna before heading to Old Trafford.
