Benfica are considering sending Manu Silva out on loan next season to secure regular minutes after an injury-hit spell.

According to Glorioso 1904, the club believe a temporary move would provide the sustained game time he has lacked since returning from injury.

The 24-year-old’s setback last season slowed his progress and cost him rhythm at a key stage. His comeback has been managed carefully, but strong competition in midfield has limited his opportunities.

A short-term switch could help him regain intensity in a different environment. A final decision is expected in the coming weeks, following discussions with the player and the coaching staff.

In 2025/26, Manu Silva, valued at 10 million euros, has made nine appearances for Benfica. That includes six in Liga Portugal Betclic, one in the Champions League, one in the Portuguese Cup and one in the League Cup, for a total of 242 minutes.
