Marc Cucurella says he will end his international career if Spain lift the World Cup, with La Roja in Sunday’s final at 21:00.

“If we win the World Cup, I will call Luis the next day and tell him not to count on me any more, that I am retiring from the national team. With a Euro and a World Cup, I cannot do better,” he told Movistar.

The left-back is 27 and has made 31 appearances for Spain, scoring one goal.

His honours include an Olympic silver medal from Tokyo in 2021 and the Euro title in 2024.

Spain are in their second World Cup final and are chasing a second world crown.
