Allende on dealing with Lupopo theatrics

Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Marcelo Allende is unfazed by FC Saint-Eloi Lupopo's antics ahead of their CAF Champions League group stage opener at Loftus Versfeld Stadium on Saturday.
The DR Congo outfit knocked out Orlando Pirates in the second preliminary round, but the victory was marred by their theatrics and a complaint to CAF by the Buccaneers after the two-legged tie.
As a result, Lupopo will be without right-back Dieumerci Mukoko Amale, who was slapped with a two-match suspension for his lack of sportsmanship in the second leg against Pirates.
With the clash looming, the Downs midfield maestro says they are targeting a strong start to their campaign, having failed to register a win in their opener last season.
“I think everyone knows in the club, the players, the technical team, how important is this tournament and I think starting with three points is the most important thing in our minds. We prepared really well this week, we are there and ready to start in the best way with the three points,” said Allende.
On the Congolese's unprofessionalism, Allende insists Masandawana are focusing on themselves and executing their game plan to perfection, despite Lupopo's proven misconduct.
“Our focus is always on our game, we need to make our game, our idea, move the ball faster and take the chances we create. I think we are here [ready] for this game and to get the three points and I think this is the most important thing,” he added.
Sundowns have been pitted in Group C alongside Rulani Mokwena's MC Alger, Sudanese giants Al-Hilal Omdurman, in addition to Lupopo.
