Martín Anselmi picks the best player he’s coached: not from FC Porto

Martín Anselmi, a coach who passed through FC Porto, pointed out the best player he has ever coached in his career. The Argentine coach chose Moisés Caicedo, whom he coached at Independiente del Valle early in his career:

«He is the best player I have coached. From the day he debuted, in his first contact, he controlled the ball against the line, I don't understand how he turned, how he took two players off him. I immediately said ‘this guy is special’».

Moisés Caicedo left Independiente del Valle in 2020 heading to Brighton, in a transfer valued at 28 million euros. He currently represents Chelsea and, this season, has 17 appearances, four goals, and one assist.
