Barcelona faced off against Athletic Bilbao at the San Mames Stadium earlier tonight as they hoped to secure a victory on the road in La Liga. The Catalan club made a solid start to the game but were held to a scoreless draw at the half-time break.
Lamine Yamal finally broke the deadlock in the 68th minute. Hansi Flick’s men ended up securing a narrow 1-0 win away from home.
Let’s take a look at how each Barcelona player fared during the match against Athletic Bilbao.
He made a couple of solid saves at the back and did enough to keep a clean sheet tonight.

Cancelo performed his defensive duties well and made one good run with the ball.
CB: Pau Cubarsi – 6.5/10
Cubarsi put his foot through the ball when needed and did enough to restrict the opposition to just one goal.
CB: Eric Garcia – 7.5/10
He gave a good account of himself on the defensive end of the field and was tidy with his passing.

LB: Gerard Martin – 7.5/10
He came back to defend when required, but offered very little going forward.
CM: Marc Casado – 6.5/10
Casado anchored the midfield well but failed to influence the game in the final third.
CM: Marc Bernal – 7/10
He earned the ball back once and made two good runs with the ball.
CM: Dani Olmo – 6.5/10
Olmo caught the eye at times on both ends of the field.
RW: Lamine Yamal – 7.5/10
Yamal was a constant threat in the final third and managed to score the only goal of the contest in the 68th minute.
ST: Ferran Torres – 6/10
He struggled to get a foothold in the game and was replaced after the hour mark.
LW: Marcus Rashford – 6.5/10
Rashford engineered a couple of inviting chances in the final third but failed to register a goal.
