Match Officials: Darren England to referee Brentford vs Manchester City

The Premier League have confirmed the list of match officials to oversee proceedings between Brentford and Manchester City on Sunday afternoon.
Pep Guardiola and his players will be aiming to return to winning ways whilst also keeping their unbeaten streak across the latest portion of fixtures since the last international break in tact this weekend.
Last time out it was a frustrating 2-2 draw on the road in European competition, as a late Eric Dier penalty salvaged a point for AS Monaco in the south of France following an Erling Haaland brace in the first-half.
In the Premier League, matters have been hugely positive for the club with their last outing resulting in a 5-1 win over Burnley, whilst there has also been a 3-0 win over Manchester United and a resolute 1-1 draw away to Arsenal.
City have the opportunity to further insist upon themselves as a serious title challenger this weekend by securing victory away from home against a tough Brentford outfit now under the instruction of Keith Andrews, who succeeded Thomas Frank at the club.

The Premier League have this week confirmed that the experienced Darren England will adopt the role of match referee at the Gtech Community Stadium – the second time he has officiated Manchester City this season.
The 39-year-old took charge of City’s third contest of the ongoing top-flight campaign, and an outing that will not go down in the memory of supporters as Brighton & Hove Albion managed a 2-1 home win over Pep Guardiola’s side before the international break.
Overall, Darren England has taken charge of 10 Manchester City matches in his professional officiating career, with the Sky Blues emerging as victors in nine of those contests, losing just the one game.
Across competitions so far this season, England has taken charge of six matches across the Premier League, UEFA Europa League qualifying, and the Carabao Cup, issuing 22 yellow cards and awarding three penalties.
Accompanying Darren England in West London this weekend will be an assistant referee pairing of Scott Ledger and Nick Greenhalgh, the Premier League have confirmed this week.
Overseeing matters from the VAR Hub at Stockley Park this weekend will be Video Assistant Referee Paul Howard, accompanied by Assistant Video Assistant Referee Alex Chilowicz, the Premier League have confirmed.
Standing between the two dugouts at the Gtech Community Stadium and managing matters involving Brentford’s Keith Andrews and Manchester City’s Pep Guardiola will be appointed fourth official for the match, Andy Madley.
